Remere's Map Editor (RME) is a map editor designed to work in conjunction with various OpenTibia tools. It's most innovative feature is auto-bordering, which was not introduced to OpenTibia before this map editor was published. It is created and maintained by Remere and is generally accepted the most used and most useful map editor. The editor has quite a few useful tools and it is user-friendly which will make the mapping for your server much easier. The current version is v1.1.8. Remere's Map Editor also supports the OTBM format.
A support forum, download links, FAQ, and change log can be found in the sub forum here at OTfans.
History
It is interesting that Remere's Map Editor gained fame and popularity even before its official release. It was leaked without author's consent, and it gained popularity extremely rapidly. About two months later the official version of the map editor was (finally) released. Since the first released version of the map editor to the current, the editor has developed a lot and now also supports older tibia clients, and not only one.
Features
This map editor was the first one containing the Auto-Detailing, the map editor also supports brushes, which can be adjusted in size. And a lot more functions to name a few, Optional Border Tool, Eraser, Door tools, PZ & PVP tools, Zoom in and out, Export and Imports of maps. Using the Auto-Border Function, the editor made mapping a lot easier, this meant better mapping in shorter time and even the "non-mappers" could create a good looking and play-able map in a few minutes. Mappers can also create their own extensions for even more ease of use, and upload them to the forum or send to Remere for the possibility to be included in the next release if they are needed or highly useful. Also a new feature has been implemented lately, the Waypoints. Also supports maps 8.5, 8.4, 8.3, 8.2, 8.1, 7.6!
You can also play Snake and Tetris by pressing either "s" or "t" while being on the about page (which you can access by pressing F1).
